The overall Premier’s Award for Excellence in Public Sector Management is presented to the most outstanding finalist from the five Award categories. The Awards focus on exceptional performance and service delivery by agencies, work teams or individuals in the following categories:
The Developing the Economy category recognises projects which maximise opportunities for the future through stimulating the economy to support employment and growth in Western Australia.
The Improving Government category recognises projects that aim to strengthen existing systems or develop strategies to enhance efficiency, accountability, workforce capacity, or community confidence in the public sector.
The Managing the Environment category recognises projects that seek to preserve Western Australia’s natural beauty and the environment for future generations, whilst balancing the need for development with the responsible and efficient use of resources.
The Revitalising the Regions category recognises projects whose work is concerned with stimulating and sustaining investment to the regions, strengthening regional businesses and communities.
Strengthening Families and Communities
The Strengthening Families and Communities category recognises projects that seek to nurture the potential of families, young people, seniors and communities and to encourage the highest possible standards of living, health, education, safety and social justice.
